Michaela Gleeson is a Senior Paediatric Occupational Therapist with years of experience supporting children and young people across a variety of clinical settings.

She has a Master's (MSc) in Occupational Therapy at the University of Limerick, is CORU registered and a member of the Association of Occupational Therapist's Ireland (AOTI).

She has a wide breath of experience working in private practice, HSE community settings and hospitals in both Ireland and abroad Her professional practice focuses on helping children and young people (ages 0 to 21) develop the skills for everyday activities, supporting functional development, independence and engagement across home, school and community environments. She works collaboratively with families, educators and other healthcare professionals to develop individualised intervention plans tailored to each child's needs.

Michaela has developed specialist experience in supporting neurodiverse children and young people with a range of functional concerns. She works in a child-led, trauma informed and family centred way and places a child's individual strengths and needs first, rather than a diagnosis, to support them to reach their full potential and engage in the activities that are meaningful to them. She works closely with families to ensure a holistic understanding of each child and that parents have practical strategies to know how to support their child at home.
